Breast Thermography
The concern in this photo is the increased vascularity in the left versus the right breast.
With breast cancer being the most common cancer in women, it’s imperative to be pro-active about all of the methods that can detect early signs of developing breast cancer.
What if I told you that there is a procedure that can detect early signs of cancer through reading patterns in the blood vessels? This unique procedure is called thermography and can be performed on patients as early as 25 years of age. Having a baseline early in life is one of the best things you can do for yourself when it comes to self-care and being pro-active about your health.
You might be asking how does thermography work or why can’t I just get a mammogram? Thermography is a non-invasive screening that uses a high resolution, highly-sensitive FLIR infrared camera of 640 x 512 resolution to monitor blood vessels, ultimately detecting an early possible issue.
The advantages to a thermography screening is that the procedure is non-invasive, no contact, no injections, no radiation, and contact free. Breast thermography is ideal for dense breasts, implants, and safe for pregnant or nursing mothers.
Palmer Complete Health uses the highest sensitivity camera available thru FLIR to make sure to get you the best images possible.
